One year ago, Buechel Stone closed the doors of our Design Center in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin (March 29, 2018). There were many reasons for this decision, but one thing we knew for sure was the need for maintaining best experiences in the selection process of natural stone. We reviewed our options, and determined the best use of our resources was a new location away from the corporate headquarters. Yes, there are benefits to being all in one location; but it requires people to make a separate drive to the middle of the countryside.

We worked to review the best options available. I wanted a design center that was truly a destination. That made me think, “Hey, just a short drive down the road is Kohler, also known as Destination Kohler.” When people would visit our design center in Fond du Lac, we would often recommend visiting the Kohler design center as well. Kohler’s design center is an impressive 39,000 square foot showroom with an average of 150,000 visitors a year. Looking online, I found a vacancy in The Shops at Woodlake, which is just a block away from Kohler’s design center. The choice was obvious.
Buechel Stone’s design center in The Shops at Woodlake will be a 2,600 square foot flagship showroom unlike anything in the masonry industry, with 150 three-foot by five foot panels, along with professionals working the showroom to make your selection process relaxing, exciting, and one of the best experiences you will have during your home or commercial product selection. The showroom will be open seven days a week, opening the beginning of May (depending on COVID-19 shelter-in-place requirements).

RIGHT?… Simultaneously, Buechel Stone is opening a second showroom in the heart of Chicago, bringing best experiences in natural building stone veneers, landscape stone, and cut stone to the LuxeHome at theMART! theMART is located in the center of the sought-after River North submarket. As the largest privately held commercial building in the United States, it is one of the world’s leading commercial buildings, wholesale design centers and the preeminent international business location in Chicago. Buechel Stone’s design center in the LuxeHome at theMART is around 500 square feet, with ingenious displays showing 69 large scale stone masonry installations of two foot by three foot and three foot by two foot. The showroom will be open six days a week, opening the beginning of May (depending on COVID-19 shelter-in-place requirements of Illinois).
