Hometime, one of the longest running home improvement series on TV, was just on-site at Buechel Stone to do a video shoot. This is the second time they shot here - the last time being 1994. "We've done a lot of projects together over the years, and was glad Dean and the crew decided shoot on-site again," stated Tim Buechel.

The first project, done back in 1994 was for one of Hometime's most well-known projects "House with Character". Since that time Buechel has done 13 projects of various sizes with the show. Major projects such as "House with Character", "Shingle Cottage", and "Stone Cottage" have highlighted large amounts of stone for both the home and the landscaping. Homeowners also get a unique insite into other new and upcoming products coming into the home market.

Buechel Stone also supplied several smaller projects - some using Buechel Stone's Natural Thin Veneer (NTV) on fireplaces and interiors, stone pavers for patios, and drystack wall stones. The current on-air project, "Stone Cottage" has stone on the exterior, fireplaces, and ashlar-styled retaining walls. This can be see on PBS - check your local listings for show times.

The last time Hometime was on-site, Buechel did not have the saw plant, splitting, or thin veneers production factilites that they currently have. One of the fun features they will run is a comparison of how things were at the shootings in 1994 and compare them to today. Video shot on-site is for a new, upcoming Hometime project using a custom blended thin veneer on the house, along with a large retaining wall. Watch for updates when the episode will air.
