Buechel Stone is excited to announce the sale of one of its quarries in the Fond du Lac area. "We've known for a long time the main quarry in Fond du Lac was getting to the end of it useful life for our type of stone needs," stated Tim Buechel. "The thing is, there's still a very large amount of material in the quarry that is ideal for aggregate and crushing, so to find a company that was interested in using it for that purpose was a real plus. We have a long-term agreement with the new quarry owner to quarry the remaining good dimensional stone from the property, so for our customers they will not see any type of change to the product or availability."
Buechel Stone will maintain its Retail location and accounting offices at the Fond du Lac location.
The quarry on Highway 175 is one of the oldest active quarries in the Fond du Lac area, with records dating back to the turn of the century.
