Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle recently announced that Buechel Stone Corp. will receive a $1 million Community Development Block Grant loan for their manufacturing expansion which will create 113 new jobs. Governor Doyle made the announcement on Friday, June 23, 2006 during a scheduled visit to Buechel Stone’s Chilton, Wisconsin facility. Buechel Stone Corp. is the seventh largest employer in Calumet County.

“My Grow Wisconsin Plan calls for investing in manufacturing so that we can create good jobs across Wisconsin,” Gov. Doyle said. “This project will stimulate the local economy and create jobs for the community. I am pleased that we could help Buechel Stone Corporation create new jobs in Calumet County.”

Buechel Stone’s manufacturing expansion includes a 62,000 square-foot production facility which will house new cutting equipment for its natural stone processing operations. “We are very excited about the opportunities this building will bring to our company,” said Executive Vice President, Scott Buechel. “Installing new equipment will enhance our production process.
